Jimmie Papke

UPDATED SERVICE INFORMATION: Jimmie Lee Papke, 75, of Rockford, passed away on May 25, 2021, in Rock River Health and Rehab. Born July 29, 1945, in Detroit, MI; son of Alex and Anna (Hibdon) Papke. Jimmie retired from Chrysler after working there almost 30 years. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed going to car shows. Jimmie enjoyed country music and spending time with his grandchildren. He could drink coffee 24/7. Jimmie survived by his children Janet (Russell) Walsh and James Papke; grandchildren Jessica, Nolan, Parker, and Kayden. He is predeceased by his parents, and brother Robert Papke.  A Celebration of Life for Jimmie will take place Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at 8457 Centaur Drive, Machesney Park, IL 61115. Stateline Cremations is assisting the family, 712 Windsor Rd., Loves Park.
