Jerrie Qualls

: Jerrie Sue Qualls, 79, of New Milford, passed away in her home on January 12, 2023, with family by her side. She was born May 9, 1943, in Trumann, Arkansas; the daughter of Hiram and Esther (Metcalf) Slinkard. She graduated from Trumann High School in May of 1961 and married the love of her life, Dwayne Qualls on July 7, 1961. Jerrie was of the Methodist faith. Her family was always her priority, and she was very proud of them and taking care of her home. She enjoyed visiting family and friends and playing “the one-armed bandit” (slot machine) as her form of entertainment. She will be missed greatly by her family. Survivors include her husband, Dwayne; son Coty (Dora) Qualls and daughter Casey (Ron Maloney) Boxall; grandchildren Samantha Qualls and Coty Qualls, Jr.; siblings Howard (Karen) Slinkard, Judy Dunman, and Nancy (Donnie) England; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, siblings Virginia Evans, Harold Slinkard, Lawanda Murphy, and Robert Slinkard .A visitation for Jerrie will take place from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with a celebration of life starting at 11:00 AM on February 4, 2023, at Thompson Funeral Home, 220 Viva Drive, Trumann, Arkansas 72472.
