Jeanine Kay McGrew was born on September 6, 1966, in Rockford Illinois. She passed away on February 28, 2026, in Rockford IL. from multiple long-term health complications. She was the daughter of Kenneth and Sheila (Whelan) McGrew.
Jeanine graduated from Harlem High School in Loves Park IL. class of 1984. After graduating High School Jeanine worked for almost 30 years at UDL Laboratories in Rockford IL., holding multiple positions over the years.
Jeanine was proud to have once owned her own home which she shared with her dog Mollie.
Jeanine was also proud to be a devoted member of the Machesney Park Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Being warm and friendly, she loved socializing and enjoyed hosting and attending parties, organizing the monthly family dinners, and being wherever people were gathered. She also loved shopping with her friends and family.
Survivors include her mother Sheila McGrew and brother Tim McGrew; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends – whom she dearly cherished; and her beloved dogs Millie and Cody.
She is predeceased by her father Ken McGrew and her dog Mollie.
Special thanks to her cousin Michelle Lawrence, and her friend Erin Jacobson who stood by her side through the good times and the difficult times.
The family will announce a Memorial Service at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 9511 N 2nd St, Machesney Park, IL 61115 in the future.
