Janice Pastuska

Janice Mary Pastuska, 58, of Rockford, passed away peacefully at home on February 16, 2023, after a short illness. She was born on May 31, 1965 to Virginia (Patrick) and Mylo Pearson.
Jan was kind hearted and sacrificed her needs to care for others. She loved to spend time with family and friends, sing along to her favorite music, and play cards and games. She enjoyed cuddling with her cat, Maddie, and had many beloved pets throughout the years. She was a lifelong member of Beth Eden United Methodist Church.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, Randy Starnes; her mother, Virginia Pearson; her brother, Jeff Pearson; her daughter, Sheryl (Bryan) Berndt; her granddaughters, Emma and Claire Berndt; her nephew, Christopher Pearson; her niece, Jennifer Pearson; her great niece, Ashley Armstrong; step children Aaron, Jacob, and Cassandra Starnes; and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Pastuska and her father, Mylo Pearson.  ?
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 25 at 11:00 AM at Beth Eden United Methodist Church,  3201 Huffman Blvd., Rockford, IL, 61103 , officiated by Pastor Brett Todd. Visitation will be Saturday morning, in the church, from 10:00 AM until service time. Luncheon to follow the service.
