Janice Anacker

Janice Fay Anacker, 76, of Rockford, passed away in her home on November 13, 2024. She was born February 7, 1948, in Rockford; the daughter of James and Opal (Mahan) Jacobs. Janice worked for MTE Hydraulics and Paccar Parts for many years. She enjoyed visiting with her friends. She also liked to play games on her phone and fishing. She was happiest when she was spending time with her grandkids.

She is survived by her children Tammy James and Scott James; grandchildren Aaron (Victoria Fortson) McCary, Morgan (Mark) James-Loya; Caleb and Skyler James; Ryan, Devin, and Dustin Swanson, and Destinee Brady; great-grandchildren Izabella, Lola, Molly, Bradley “Tucker”, Bryson, Teegan, Emery, and Madlynn; daughter-in-law and caregiver Tanya Swanson-Briggs. She is predeceased by her parents James and Opal Jacobs.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Tanya Swanson-Briggs for taking such great care of Janice and to Rev. Darrell and Ginger Birmingham for their prayers and support.
