James Witterholt, Sr.

August 15, 1965 — August 21, 2025

James B. Witterholt, Sr., 60, of Dekalb, passed away suddenly on August 21, 2025, at Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital. He was born on August 15, 1965; the son of Joseph and Sylvia (Sukowski) Witterholt. James married Brigette L. Miller on February 14, 1992. He enjoyed listening to rock music and taught himself how to play the guitar. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his dog Kyro.

Survivors include his loving wife, Brigette; daughter Ashley (Adnan) Mustafa; son James B. Witterholt, Jr.; grandchildren Zeeshan and Zara Mustafa, and Lucas Witterholt; sisters Janet Lorenzen and Joan (Phil) Gozy; and nieces and one nephew. He is predeceased by his parents; and brother-in-law Butch Lorenzen.
