James Lester Howard

JAMES “JIM” HOWARD, of Pearl City, IL, was born to William and Devona (Cron) Howard on August 31, 1949, in Omer, MI. Passed away September 20, 2026, in Madison, WI.

Jim was an avid outdoors man, mechanic, marksman, and most importantly father, grandfather, and husband. Jim spent his life teaching his children and grandchildren, along with any child how to love life, nature, and fix almost anything. When his daughters were children, Jim volunteered at YMCA, Camp Winnebago, Girl Scout Leader for his daughters’ troops along with his wife, and First Responder, he spent years shooting bows and guns competitively, Jim won many plaques and trophies. Once Austin and his grandchildren were born he spent most of his free time guiding them through life teaching them all he knew about nature, fixing cars, home improvements, and overall, just enjoying them all.

Jim is lovingly survived by his wife of 53 years, Donna Howard, daughter Christina (William) Keefe, Son Austin (Olivia) Howard, Grandchildren- Alex, Connor (Rush), Christian, Adrien (Cristian), Autumn, Ashley, Kelly, Great grandchildren- Jasmine, Gavin, Raelynn, Amelia, Brother Donald Howard, Sister Sherry Butz, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased By Parents, Daughter Cynthia Howard-Hillis, Great grandson Bentley Cohee, Brother Lee Howard.
