James House

James L. House, 62, of Sterling, passed away on December 17, 2019. He was born on May 31, 1957 in Sterling; the youngest child of Paul and Leona (Rank) House. He proudly worked as a diesel mechanic for Rock River Cartage and Standard Forwarding. A passionate sports fan; he enjoyed giving Chicago Cubs fans a hard time as much as he enjoyed a St. Louis Cardinals victory. He will be missed by his daughters, Amy (Steven) Weidel and Lynsy (Nicholas) Ursetta, son, Brandon (Stefanie) House and nine grandchildren; Shannon, Ryleigh, Calyn, Owen, Parker, Keegan, Aidan, Greyson and Camden. He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Leona, and his brother, Mark House. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 18th from 12-3 at Kegger's Tap House, 13464 Galt Road, Sterling. Stateline Cremations is assisting the family, 7307 N. Alpine Rd., Loves Park.
