James Hall

James Howard Hall, 67, of Rockford, passed away on November 4, 2023, in his home. Born April 13, 1956, in Greenville, TN; the son of Franklin and Hassie (Butler) Hall. He graduated from Daniel Boone High School in Greenville, TN in 1974. James married Anna M. Gilbaugh on February 12, 2013. He worked for the Area Well Company maintaining sump pumps. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints. He enjoyed relaxing watching wrestling and soap operas. He loved listening to country music and when he was able, he would like to be outside mowing the lawn or shoveling his driveway. The family would like to extend a special thank you to OSF Hospice for their care and compassion. James is survived by his wife Anna; children David, Jesse, Keith, and Michelle; 4 grandchildren; siblings Ralph and Ruth; several nieces and nephews; siblings-in-law James (Jeanne) Gilbaugh, Jason (Catherine) Gilbaugh, and Melissa (Brent) McCann; cousins Bobby Parker, Linda Schultz, Crystal McNaughton, Tiago Parker, and Shane (Christine) Dunn. He is predeceased by his parents; daughter Angie; siblings Jim, Cheryl, Robert (Vicky), G.W., and Naomi; and cousins Rose, Larry, Albert, Helen Marie, and Holly. A memorial service will be held at 11 am, Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 620 N. Alpine Rd., Rockford, IL 61107.
