James Gilbaugh

James M. Gilbaugh, 61, of Rockford, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Serenity Home in Oregon, IL. He was born on May 6, 1964, in Rockford, the son of Clayton and Connie Gilbaugh. James worked for Schnucks for many years. He married Jeanne (Davis) Lawshe on November 19, 2019. James enjoyed working on his car and going to car shows. He looked forward to going to the county fairs every year and would visit the Volo Museum. James was loved and will be missed, especially by his cat, Cookie.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanne; siblings Anna Hall and her son David Gilbaugh, Jason (Kathy) Gilbaugh, and Melissa Gilbaugh; and his aunt Judy (Raymond) Robinson. He is predeceased by his parents, maternal and paternal grandparents, and 2 nieces.
