James Comparetto

James Vincent Comparetto, 67, passed away in his home on Sunday, November 21, 2021, in Rockford, Illinois. James was born on April 27, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois to Carol Josephine (Potoczny) and Victor Vito Comparetto. He then was raised in River Grove, Illinois, and attended East Leyden High School Class of 1972. He went on to major in Counseling at Northeastern College and worked in management for several years. James was employed with Rockford Mass Transit for over 10 years, serving as a bus driver and faithfully getting his community to where they needed to go. James was a quiet man, but always showed his kindness towards others. He was a loyal fan of the Chicago Bears and Bulls, and looked forward to their seasons. He enjoyed watching many movies, but especially Science Fiction. James is survived by his children; Carol-Lynn (Sam White) Comparetto, and Lucas Comparetto; brothers, Tony Comparetto, and Vic (Kathy) Comparetto. He was preceded in death by parents, Carol and Victor; sister, Marie Anderson. A celebration of life for James will be announced in the coming weeks, so please refer back for more information.
