James William Carlson, 63, of Belvidere, Illinois, passed away peacefully at his home on September 24, 2021. Jim was born June 19, 1958, in Belvidere, Illinois, son of Carl and Rosemarie (Leonard) Carlson. He graduated from Belvidere High School class of 1976. He worked as a DJ at Casa Mia, bartended at Grampa’s, and as a forklift driver for Syncreon. Jim’s great sense of humor enabled him to enjoy his jobs and make others laugh. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago White Sox. Jim always lived life on his own terms. Jim is loved and missed by sister, Diane Wheeler of Byron; niece, Jennifer Wheeler of Rockford; nephew, Derek Wheeler of Byron; nephew, Mathew Wheeler of Minnesota; loving and loyal companion, Scooter; aunts and several cousins. Jim is predeceased by his parents; grandparents; brother-in-law, Kevin Wheeler; as well as several aunts and uncles. A visitation will be held on Wednesday October 6, 2021, from 4-7 pm at United Church of Byron. 701 W. 2nd Street Byron, Illinois 61010. Memorial donations in Jim’s honor may be made to United Church Byron. ?
