James Best

James Michael Best, Jr., 60, of Rockford, passed away on January 22, 2024. He was born on November 19, 1963, in Salem, Oregon; the son of James Sr. and Tonia (Moon) Best. James was self-employed in construction as a tile setter. He enjoyed music, boating, and grilling. He was happiest when he was able to be outdoors, be it fishing or camping. He is now at rest and able to be with his mother Tonia, whom he has missed so much since she passed away.

Survivors include his daughters Jamie Best and Jennie (Ben Berthold) Best; grandsons Quinten and Oakland Rocha; sister Christine (Chauncey) Messino; nieces Shannon (Louis De La Vaga) Callarman and Carley Messino; great-niece Emilia; and the mother of his daughters Lenka Javurek. He is predeceased by his parents.
