Jacquelyn Covel

December 31, 1969 — October 23, 2025

Jacquelyn Sue Woody-Covel, 69, of Rockford, IL, passed away at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center with her loved ones by her side, on October 23, 2025, after a long journey of health issues and sickness she couldn't sustain. Born on March 12, 1956, to Jackie H. Woody and Erma L. (Hodge) Woody, Jacquelyn graduated from Rock Valley College earning her certificate as a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked in the healthcare field for 30 years. Jacquelyn devoted her life to her 6 children, 10 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren, whom she loved with all her heart. In her free time, she enjoyed all holidays, gardening, decorating, cooking, and taking care of people, and helping others. Her strength to never give up on anything in life and her passion and love for the people she cared for will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

Jacquelyn is survived by her husband Robert Covel who was the father to their youngest son, Wesley Smallwood; their other children, Jennifer Smallwood, Sean Belodeau, Richard Bilodeau III, Heather Bilodeau; her brothers Robert Woody and John Woody; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and her best friend, Bridget Rosandich. Jacquelyn is predeceased in death by her parents Jackie and Erma Woody; the father of 5 of her children Richard Bilodeau, Jr.; and her son Jackie Bidodeau.
