Apr 3, 1958 — Sep 3, 2026

Jacky N. Cooper, passed at age 68 after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis and early-onset dementia. He was a lifelong resident of Aurora, Illinois.

Jack was born April 3, 1958, in Aurora to Ed “Tip” Cooper and Wanda (Barker) Cooper. In his younger years he enjoyed swimming, with a talent on the diving board. He also had a love for horseback riding, horseshoes, and billiards. He also enjoyed spending extended time in Missouri in the summers with family. He loved old movies, the Chicago Cubs, and thought Elvis Presley was the greatest singer to have ever lived.

Jack was preceded in death by his daughter, Sara, his wife, Karen, his father, mother, and brother, Tom “Skeet” Cooper.

He is survived by two daughters, Jenna (Dan) Parrot, and Alex (Andy) Vargo, three grandchildren, Violet, Zelda, and Freddy Vargo, a neice and nephew, Chris and Tracy, and a stepson, Richie. Jack’s recent years were spent in a skilled nursing facility at Bria (Nexus) of Geneva, and with Unity Hospice, where the team of nurses and staff deserve many thanks for the often thankless job of caring for the aging population within a failing healthcare system.

A Celebration of Life will be held at on September 13th at 2:00 pm at Two Brothers Roundhouse in Aurora, IL.

In lieu of flowers, donations of funds or items can be made to Nexus at Geneva. The facility can be contacted directly at (630) 232-7544 for current needs and drop-off procedures.
