Jack T Herron

Nov 14, 1963 — Jul 1, 2026

Jack Thomas Herron, 62, of Cherry Valley, passed away unexpectedly on July 1, 2026, in his home after a long battle with congestive heart failure. He was born on November 14, 1963, in Maryville, Tennessee, the son of Jack Painter and Joan Joanette (Pain) Herron.

Jack graduated from Belvidere High School. He served in the US Navy and US Coast Guard between 1981 and 1985. He married Kari Ewers in 1992. Jack was an avid woodworker and enjoyed fishing. He loved to spend time with his grandkids and teaching them how to fish. When he wasn’t enjoying the outdoors, he could be found enjoying a book by Stephen King. Jack was loved and will be missed by many. He had a big heart and was always bringing home stray kids until they could get on their feet.

He is survived by his wife Kari; children Christina (Mike) Fry, and Amanda Sawyer, Angel Herron, and Andrew (Charlene Baum) Herron; grandchildren Corey, Jeremiah, Jordyn, Trinity, Ava, Joseph, Alivia, Chase, Dillon, Jayden, Landen, Tayler, Ericka, Abbi, and Quentin; and many great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents; siblings Susan Jeanette Herron and Jackie Herron; and son Erick Sawyer.
