Harry Burzell

December 11, 1937 — August 13, 2025

Harry Samuel Burzell, 87, of Rockford, passed away on August 13, 2025, at UW Swedish American Hospital. He was born on December 11, 1937, in Muscatine, IA; the son of Alden E. and Florence J. (Smith) Burzell. Harry married Christine Tripp on January 5, 1979. He worked in a Tool and Die factory and as bartender for 29 years at Opsahl's in Rockford. Harry was a huge Green Bay Packer and White Sox fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR. He liked getting together with the family and playing cards.

Harry is survived by his loving wife Christine Burzell; son William Burzell; daughter Carla Lundberg; grandsons Michael (Kara) Burzell, Brandon Lundberg, and Austin Lundberg; great-granddaughters McKenna and Morrin Burzell and Sierra Lundberg; brothers Bill and Cameron Burzell; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents; brothers Claude and Bobby Burzell; sister Nancy Burzell; and son-in-law Larry Lundberg.
