Gurdus Adams

Gurdus D. Adams Jr., Age 65, passed away on February 20, 2023, peacefully in his home with his dog in Davis Junction as he wished. He was born in Dixon, IL on March 10,   1957, and son to Gurdus and Ella (Bight) Adams. He graduated from Stillman Valley High School in 1975. His professions for work throughout his life were: training racehorses, farmers hand, and a truck driver. Gurdus’s favorite things to do were going fishing and taking his mini hay baler to the Ogle County Fair and the Sycamore Steam Show & Threshing Bee. What he loved most though is having coffee and B.S.ing with people. He was survived by his daughter: April (Alessandro) Andreucci of Channahon, IL; Grandson: Santino Andreucci of Channahon, IL; Sister: Phyllis Adams of Mt. Morris, IL; Aunt: Mary Sue (Dennis) Wiggins of Pecatonica, IL; Uncle: Charles (Elaine) Bright of Beloit, WI ; Considered family members: James Maronde of Davis Junction, Jerry Maronde of Ashton, Joseph Maronde of Franklin Grove, IL, Emma, Daniel, Grayson, Chase, and Hunter Maronde. He was proceeded in death by his parents, hid maternal grandparents, and paternal grandparents. There will be a Wake/Celebration of Life 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. and funeral service from 11:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. March 10,   2023, at Monroe Township Fire Protection District, 104 West St. Monroe Center, IL 61052. The graveside service will be held for immediate family only at the Monroe Center Cemetery.
