Gregory Eugene Addington, of Rockford, IL, passed away on February 27, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on January 03, 1959, he was the son of Henry F. Addington and Grace Mary Lafranka Galvan.
Gregory graduated from Rockford East High School in 1978 and proudly served his country as a U.S. Army Veteran. A painter by trade, he took pride in his work and found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a passion for traveling in his motor home, camping under the stars, and embracing the great outdoors.
Gregory was an animal lover with a kind heart, he had great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh with his jokes. Whether he was dancing, cooking a delicious meal, or cheering on his Minnesota Vikings, Gregory will be missed
His survivors include his mother Grace (Luis) Galvan; son Dustin Anthony Giglio; granddaughter Kylie Ann Giglio; great-grandson Theodore "Theo" Hobart; brothers Terry; Tyler; Todd; Chip; Chad Addington; and sister Cristi (Rito) Lavdacina. He is predeceased by father Henry F. Addington; grandparents Eugene and Lena Delaney; and grandfather Joseph Lafranka.
A celebration of life will be on March 8, 2025 at St Ambrogio Society, 802 Montague St, Rockford, IL 61102 from 3pm to 7pm. Stateline Cremations is assisting the family, 6204 Forrest Hills Rd, Loves Park, IL 61111. www.statelinecremations.com
