Grant Buchanan

Grant Cole Buchanan, 74, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2022, at home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adele and Jerry; wife, Beverly Judy Buchanan; step-granddaughter, Rikki Friend. He was born on May 16, 1948 in Rockford, IL. Wed to Beverly Judy Buchanan from January 20, 1973 to May 25, 1997. Survived by children, Dawn (Steve) Seifert, Kathy (Mike) Hawkins, Steve (Malia) Buchanan, Denyce Buchanan Kemp; grandchildren, Tiffany, Amanda, Danyeil, Kristen, Abbey and Hunter; great-grandchildren, Josalyn, Braxton, Coraline, Owen, Carter, Carissa, and Elliot. Married Gail Baxley March 4, 2000, survived by his step-daughter, Heidi Friend and Penny Koo; granddaughter, Daisy; great-grandchildren, Lila and AJ. A Memorial Service for Grant will be held Saturday, August 27, 2022, at 10:30 A.M., at First Baptist Church of Machesney Park, 718 Harlem Road, Machesney Park, Illinois 61111.
