George Wilson

December 31, 1969 — September 6, 2021

George F. “Frank” Wilson a.k.a. Paw Paw, 83, of Roscoe passed away Monday, September 6th, 2021 following a short illness. Born on August 21, 1938, in Lepanto AR, the son of Buford and Viola (Cline) Wilson. Frank would eventually relocate to Rockford IL, where he would marry Sandra L. Pape and raise a family. Frank was employed by Gunite Corporation for nearly thirty years, until his retirement in 1996. As an avid outdoorsman Frank enjoyed hunting and fishing whenever he would get the chance. He loved watching “wrassling” and would rarely miss any of the televised matches. Now he always said that he enjoyed working on cars but since working on cars is where he taught his kids how to cuss, you’ll have be the judge on that one. However, his favorite pass time was always spending time with family. With a laid back and easy-going disposition Frank seldom met a stranger and was always willing to help those around him.  Survivors include his wife Sandra; his children, Rick (Stacy) White, Lori White, and Shawn (Marcy) Wilson; his brothers, Bill (Hattie) Wilson and Russell (Sharon) Wilson; grandchildren, Ricky White, Amber Homewood, Todd Newsome, Theo Newsome, Shy Newsome, Alex Wilson, Alyssa Wilson; great grandchildren, Izabella, Sophiya, Trey, Titan, Taylor, Tahliya, Lily, Everly, Talana, Trew, TaKoda, Taelynn, Tiara, Gage and Major. A special thank you to Theo and Kandice for taking care of “Paw Paw” for the past few years. He is predeceased by his parents and brother Don. Services to be held at a later date. Stateline Cremations is assisting the family, 712 Windsor Rd., Loves Park, IL.
