Gary Johnson

Gary W. Johnson, 72, of Loves Park, passed away January 4, 2021 in his home of natural causes. He was born March 20, 1948 in Rockford; son of Horace “Al” Johnson and Donna Collins. Gary was an Army veteran and was a hardworking, dedicated man. He was a skilled craftsman and worked in auto repair and restoration. He would watch his grandsons Trent and Tanner race at the drag strip. He loved his Harley’s and Rat Rod. He enjoyed traveling to Nascar races, numerous drag strips, Sturgis, and auctions. He is survived by his sons Troy (Stephanie) Johnson, Jared (Elisa) Johnson, and Chad Tongue; daughter Kimberly Liston; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sisters Denise Maggio, Lynette Cassaro; and his beloved pet Myla.
