Gary Dehmer

Gary Walter Dehmer, 81, of Rockford, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born on April 28, 1942, the son of Charlie and Nelva Wagner. He was later adopted by his stepfather Hank Dehmer. He loved photography and country music. He was an air traffic controller for over 39 years, and he loved his family dearly. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, husband, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He will be forever missed. Gary is survived by his wife Arlene Dehmer; children Deanne Lindskog, Corey (Samantha) Dehmer, and Doreen (Shane) Gunderson; grandchildren Jeremy, Breanne, Brianna, Christopher, River, Lane, Landon, Kyler, Brandon, Zoey, Cameron, and Breckin; great-grandchildren Elizabeth, Jaxon, Lilith, and Hollis; siblings Vonda, Janice, and Linda; and stepmother Gladys. He is predeceased by his mom, dad, stepfather, his son Chris, brothers Tom and Darryl, granddaughters Christmas and Rylie Jean; son-in-law Tony Lindskog; and dear friends Bobby and Cathy.
