Francisca Lara

Francisca R. Lara, 75, of Rockford, passed away on April 17, 2026. She was born on March 15, 1951, the daughter of Alberto and Trinidad Machado.

She spent most of her life in Rockford, where she worked as a pharmacy technician at One Stop Pharmacy. A devoted wife to her husband, Jose, she cherished her family above all else. She found joy in crocheting, often creating beautiful blankets for loved ones. She will be remembered for her warmth, her creativity, and the unmistakable sound of her laughter.

Francisca is survived by her daughters Rosario (Arturo Hernandez) Lara-Hernandez and Monica (Richard) Marchione; granddaughters Trinidad and Coraline Hernandez; brothers and sisters Pablo (Nerie) Machado, Juan (Patricia) Machado, Felipe (Sharon) Machado, Lupe (Angel Rodriguez) Machado-Rodriguez, Jesusa (Susie) Machado, and Steve Machado; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Jose I. Lara; mother Trinidad Machado; father Alberto Machado; brother Jose I. Machado; and sister Maria (Machado) Hernandez.
