Everette Osgood

UPDATED SERVICE INFORMATION: Everette R. Osgood, 77, of Rockford, passed away on August 2, 2022, at 8:17 am in Amberwood Care Center. He was born in Rockford on November 2, 1944, the son of Everette and Winifred Osgood. He was a graduate of Belvidere High School. He married Peggy Crocker on October 7, 1978. He worked at Camcar Textron for 38 years, retiring in 2008. Everette enjoyed attending car shows and loved animals. He enjoyed traveling, especially to the Great Smoky Mountains. He would take his family on camping trips when the kids were younger. Family was Everette’s priority and enjoyed doting on his loving wife Peggy. Survivors include his beloved wife, Peggy; son Tony (Aranda) Osgood, granddaughter Hailey Osgood; sisters Kathy Taylor and Marchia Oliver; his mother Winifred Oliver; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his daughter Heather Osgood, brother Mark Oliver, father Everette Osgood, and his stepfather Charles Oliver. Memorial Service will at 11 am, Friday, August 12, 2022, in Creekwood Baptist Church, 5973 Darlene Dr., Rockford. Visitation will be from 10 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family. Directions to the church: South on Mulford to Harrison, cross over Harrison 1 block and turn right onto Darlene Drive. Creekwood church will be on the left. Stateline Cremations is assisting the family, 712 Windsor Rd., Loves Park.
