Eva Rainwater

Eva Ann Rainwater, 90, of Monroe Center, Illinois, went home to be with the Lord on May 10, 2021. She was born on January 15,1931 in Cherry Valley, Illinois to Rupert and Doris (Winterland) Baxter. She was united in marriage to Ross V. Rainwater on March 29,1947. Eva was a devoted wife and mother. She loved Jesus and served many years at Union Church of Monroe Center as a deaconess, Sunday school teacher, Pioneer Club leader and treasurer. She also volunteered many summers as a camp counselor as well as a cook at Pioneer Girl Camp.  Eva is survived by her children, Linda (Frank) Rawes, Alan (Vicki) Rainwater, Laurie Rainwater, Jim (Paula) Rainwater, Bonnie (Anthony) Kinchion, Becky (Jeff) Snodgrass. Eva was blessed with 25 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren. Eva will forever be missed and cherished in the lives of her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rupert and Doris Baxter: her husband, Ross V. Rainwater: her son, Thomas W. Rainwater: her daughter-in-law, Dorthy M. Rainwater Jenkins: her granddaughter, Shelly Ann Rainwater: her great- granddaughter, Evelyn Grace Edwards: siblings, Calvin Baxter, Shirley Clappsaddle, Donald Baxter, Leland Baxter and Charlene Hill.
