Eric O'Farrell

Eric S. O’Farrell, 52, of Rockford, passed away peacefully at home on July 26, 2022. He was born December 28, 1969, to Earl and Darlene O’Farrell in Rockford, IL. At 15 months old, his parents moved to Riverside, California, where he would spend the next 44 years of his life. Eric attended Ramona High School in 1987 and out of high school he joined the Southern California Carpenter’s Union where he worked for 20 years. During that time he met and married his wife Cynthia and together raised 3 children until her death in 1995. Eric was involved in his children’s sports activities, coaching both football and basketball for his daughter and sons. Eric’s love of sports included NASCAR, golf, Dodger Baseball, and the Dallas Cowboys. In 2008, Eric began his truck driving career with Swift Transportation. He remained at Swift for 5 years. In 2013 he gained employment at McLane Food Service where he remained until his illness in 2017. Eric met his fiancé, Sandy, in 2014. In 2017 they moved back to Rockford, IL. December of that year Eric was diagnosed with cancer. His strength and optimism were beyond measure. Surviving family and many lifelong friends will forever love and miss him. Eric is survived by his fiancé Sandra Rodriguez of Rockford; parents Earl and Darlene O’Farrell of Riverside, CA; brother Damien (Jennifer) O’Farrell of Riverside, CA; daughter Meagan (Tracey) O’Farrell of Murneta, CA; sons Kenneth (Marisol) Clack of Moreno Valley, CA, and Brandon (Trine) Clack of Temecula, CA; niece Marleigh O’Farrell of Riverside, CA; grandchildren Kenneth Jr, Trevor and Tyler Clack of Moreno Valley, CA; his extended children James (Danielle) Clack of Skiatook, OK, and Ashley and Michael Ends of Riverside, CA. He is predeceased by his wife Cynthia Baines O’Farrell; grandparents Earl and Mildred O’Farrell and Harry and Virginia Schiffman; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
