Elizabeth White

January 17, 1961 — October 28, 2024

Elizabeth “Liz” Ann White, 63, of Winnebago, passed away unexpectedly on October 28, 2024, at UW Health Swedish American Hospital. She was born on January 17, 1961, in Rockford; the daughter of Carl David Everett Johnson and Margaret (MacCallum) Johnson. Liz graduated from East High School in 1979. She worked as a manager for Topway Foods in Pecatonica and volunteered many hours for Market Day with the Pecatonica school district. She was also a member of the Women’s Auxiliary at the Lombardi Club. She was a gamer and enjoyed playing Nintendo 64 Star Fox. Liz loved watching/listening to the Hallmark Channel, she always looked forward to a “happy ending”. She was an avid reader until she lost her eyesight. Liz was a very present mom to her son Taylor and was very active in his life.

Survivors include her son Taylor (Stephanie LeGault) White; several stepchildren; special granddaughter Amanda (Clay) Brunson; several great-grandchildren in Florida; sister Sandy (Roy) Miller; a host of nieces, nephews, great and great-great- nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents; husband Cary White; sisters Lisa Johnson and Karen Reinert; and brothers Rodney and Russell Johnson.

A Celebration of Life is planned for March 21, 2025 at the Lombardi Club, 209 Olive St., Rockford, IL 61107 from 4pm-7pm. Stateline Cremations is assisting the family, 6204 Forest Hills Rd., Loves Park, IL 61111. www.statelinecremations.com
