Edward Thompson

July 6, 1944 — December 14, 2024

Edward P. Thompson, 80, of Capron, passed away in his home surrounded by his family. He was born on July 6, 1944, in Belvidere, the son of Raymond and Laurene (Kleckner) Thompson. Edward worked as a dairy farmer and retired from Dean Foods. Edward was the leader of his motorcycle club; he was the president and sole member of this club! He had a wonderful sense of humor. Sarcasm was his strong suit. He loved mowing his yard and was very particular about how it was done, all 10 acres of it. Fish tanks were his passion. He enjoyed raising fish in freshwater tanks. Ed was a good man and father. He loved his family, and he will be missed.

Survivors include his children Shaun Thompson, Troy (Anna) Thompson, Dr. Kristylea (Panchito) Ojeda, Craig (Nicole Gregus) Thompson, Michelle (Jason) Pack; grandchildren Mason, Alyssa, Bryan, Eleanora, and Joki; great-granddaughter Madilyn; siblings Sandra Bennett, Ray Thompson, Linda Clark, and Valerie Erne; several nieces and nephews, aunt Pearl Kleckner; and his cat Tiger. He was predeceased by his parents.
