Edmund W Campbell

Feb 27, 1948 — Jul 24, 2026

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the loss of Edmund Wesley Campbell, 78, of Winnebago, who passed away on July 24, 2026, in his home surrounded by his family. He was born on February 27, 1948, in Rockford, IL.

Ed was married to Melody (Dunnavan) for 58 years and they had two daughters Dawn R.(Scott) Nailor and Tara (Mike) Dahlke. His family will remember him for his quiet strength, unwavering love, and how he led by example. His legacy will live on in every life he touched, and he will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

He wore the title of PahPah with extreme pride. Dylan, Kamren, Ali, and Sean were truly blessed by his dedication of supporting them in all of their activities and in providing them with guidance and advice when needed. He was a special PahPah and the grandchildren will miss him dearly.

He dedicated 37 years as a proud Teamster, where he started his career as a lifelong driver with Knox and then retiring from USF Holland. He took great pride in his work, providing for his family with integrity, dedication, and unmatched work ethic.

Survivors include his wife Melody (Dunnavan) Campbell; his daughters Dawn R. (Scott) Nailor and Tara (Mike) Dahlke; grandchildren Dylan and Kamren Nailor, Ali (Nick) Tonkinson, and Sean Dahlke; great-grandchildren Brynlee and Nick, Jr., Tonkinson; nephews Jarrod (Amanda) Dunnavan and Brandon Dunnavan; and niece Amber Jones, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, and several cousins. He is predeceased by his parents, parents-in-law, sister; 2 brothers-in-law, a nephew; and his beloved dog Rolly. He held such a special place in his heart for his dog and best buddy, Rolly. He missed him deeply and often spoke of the day they would be reunited. We find comfort in imagining that joyful reunion in heaven.

The family wants to thank Serenity House for their care and support during this difficult time. We are going to miss our Husband, Dad, Pops, and PahPah deeply.
