Duane Tieman

Duane John Tieman, 56, of Rockford, passed away in his home on January 20, 2021. Born January 15, 1965 in Milwaukee, WI; son of Gaylord and Yvonne (Severson) Tieman. Married Rosemarie McCarty on October 11, 2007. He worked as a welder for Rockford Precision Machine. He loved to cook with his wife Rose and had a green thumb growing plants and vegetables. He was highly successful in hunting and finding Morel mushrooms. He loved watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Duane had the biggest heart and would help anyone in need. The neighborhood children loved him and thought he was Santa Claus. Duane was loved and will be missed. Survivors include his wife Rose; mother Yvonne Bruno; siblings Mark (Chona) Tieman, Pam (Daryl) Berefsky; Larry (Rita Acher) Tieman, Tina Bruno, Paul (Stephanie) Bruno, Josh Bruno, and Jesse Bruno; several nieces and nephews; and many friends and family in Minnesota, Illinois, and Wisconsin. He is predeceased by his father. There will be no services. Stateline Cremations is assisting the family, 712 Windsor Rd., Loves Park.
