Douglas Heuer

Douglas A. Heuer of Belvidere died on October 7, 2023, at St. Anthony Medical Center due to complications of diabetes. Doug was born April 2, 1953, in Belvidere to Albert and Bernice Heuer. He graduated from North Boone High School. Doug married Teresa Schultz on April 25, 1987. He was a lifelong drag racing fan. An Avid Boy Scout Leader, car enthusiast, MENSA member and a member of Capron Lutheran Church.
Doug is survived by his wife Teresa, daughter Heather Heuer, son Michael Heuer, Grand puppy Chewbacca (Chewie) stepsister Noreen Klem (Greg), stepbrother Kent Williams (Marlene) stepbrother Kevin Williams and a large loving family. He is preceded in death by his parents Albert and Bernice and stepmother Alberta. A celebration of life will be on October 21, 2023, 1-4pm at the Boone County District #2 Fire station. 1777 Henry Luckow Lane, Belvidere, IL 61008 In lieu of flowers a Go Fund me page has been established to help cover the services.
