Doris Haven

Doris Iline Haven of Machesney Park, Illinois, passed away suddenly on January 22, 2022, at Rock River Nursing Home in Rockford, Illinois. Doris was born December 3, 1961, in Rockford, and lived most of her life in Machesney Park, Illinois. She was the daughter of Fred and Suzanne Strang. Doris graduated Harlem High School in 1979. Doris married Lewis C. Haven on December 22, 2001, and just celebrated 20 years of marriage. They were married at Third Presbyterian Church in Rockford, Illinois, where they both enjoyed worshipping on Sundays. Doris worked at various jobs throughout her lifetime. Doris loved collecting unicorns and had quite the collection. Her favorite color was purple and loved anything that was purple. Doris loved to spend time fishing with her husband during the summers. She also loved her dogs and watching her favorite TV shows. Doris was a loving wife and is survived by her husband Lew; stepsons, Lewis, Brandon, and Chris; Father, Fred Strang Sr.; brother, Fred Strang Jr.; many nieces and nephews, and brother and sister in laws. Doris was preceded in death by her mother, Suzanne Strang; sister, Venus Try. At this time, no services for Doris are scheduled.
