Donna Wierzgacz

Donna J. Wierzgacz, 67, of Belvidere, passed away in her home on May 10, 2023. She was born on May 20, 1955, in Chicago, the daughter of Harry and Jeanette (Musilek) McIntyre. Donna married Bruce Wierzgacz on September 28, 1984; he passed away on June 16, 2014. She is a former member of the Eagles Club in Belvidere and worked there as a bartender for 20 years. She was also a member of the Belvidere VFW and American Legion. Before Bruce passed away one of their favorite past-times was to play slots. Family was very important to Donna, and she was happiest when spending time with her grandchildren. Donna is survived by her children Chris (Christopher) Gray and Tricia (Jesse) Zobal; stepchildren Bruce (Gail) Wierzgacz, Angie (John) O’Hora, Wendy (Mike) LaBroscian, Kelly (Jackie Novak) Wierzgacz, and Kim Tolan; grandchildren Taylor, Dominic, Amelia, Ariel, Allyce, Ashley, Brianna, Kalie, Natalie, Ryan, Bobby, Annie, Claudia, Warren, and Katie; great-grandchildren Saphira, Skylar, Ethan, and Hunter; siblings Terry (Allen) Schiffer and Daniel McIntyre; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Harry and Jeanette McIntyre; husband Bruce Wierzgacz; brother Mark McIntyre; and granddaughter Scarlett. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, May 13, 2023, at the Belvidere VFW, 1310 W. Lincoln Ave. Belvidere, IL 61008.
