Diane Tardio

October 17, 1955 — December 14, 2023

Diane Marie Tardio, 68, of Machesney Park, passed away in her home on December 14, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born in Sonoma, California, on October 17, 1955, the daughter of Paul and Ida (Schweiger) Bainter. Diane married Frank Tardio, Jr. on December 20, 1980, at the Church by the Side of Road in Rockton, IL. She worked at Schnucks in many different positions over the years. She and Frank were members of the St. Ambrogio Society where she enjoyed playing Bocce. She was called Nana by everyone, even if you were older than she was, you still called her Nana. She enjoyed reading and traveling to Las Vegas. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband Frank; children Melissa (Mike) Bradley, Frank Tardio, III, and Patricia Tardio; grandchildren Kaylee (Chris) Hare, Craig and Cody Johnson, and Elizabeth Tardio; great-grandchildren Joshua Ingram, Cora, Cody, and Chris, Jr. Hare, and Novaeh Tardio; sisters Sharon (David) Ganshert and Shirley (Larry) Markhardt; brother Richard (Diane) Bainter; several nieces and nephews; and her best friend Marlene Warner. She is predeceased by her parents and brother Russell Bainter.
