Diana J. Lungo, 76, of Rockford passed away in her home on November 1, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Born October 17, 1945, daughter of Charles and Jean Kurlinkus. Graduated from Marengo High School. Married to the love of her life, Guy Lungo, for 54 years. Diana was employed as a lunch lady at Cherry Valley Elementary. Diana enjoyed church, reading, and her gardening. She was her children and grandchildren’s biggest fan, attending all their sporting events and was always the loudest in the stands. She was devoted to her family and was a leader with Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Brownies. She loved the holidays most. That’s when she knew that all her family would be under one roof. We will miss her dearly. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Rock Church and Pastor Dan and all the wonderful people at Serenity Hospice and Home. We can’t express how much we appreciate all your love and care for our beloved mother. Survivors include her husband Guy Lungo; children Elizabeth (Nick) Hardt, Mike (Tracy) Lungo, Fortunata (Brian) Fowler, and Anna Lungo (Robert); grandchildren Christopher (Debbie) Wigtion, Trista (Brandon) Christian, Nicky (Theanna) Hardt, Steven Hardt, Brandon Hardt, Amanda Lungo (Cheyenne), Nicole Lungo (Jason), Adam Sanders (Codie), Paris Jones (Jordan), Kimberly Lungo (Corey), Tyler Fowler (Katie), and Connor Fowler; great-grandchildren Trinity Wigtion (Lucas), Issac Wigtion, Emma Weingartner, Michael Wigtion, Edrick Hardt, Xochiana Hardt, Xiavier Hardt, Xander Hardt, Nevaeh Hardt, Rose Hardt, Addi Sanders, Abel Sanders, Destiny Sanders, Gianna Foss, Hiram Foss, and Landyn Jones; great-great-grandchild Aurora Boyles; brothers Carl and Robbie Kurlinkus; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Jean Aloha Fedderly and Charles Kurlinkus; and sister Georgina (Pookie) Kurlinkus. A Celebration of Life will be A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, November 13, 2021 with visitation at 1 pm and service at 2 pm at Rock Church, 6732 Harrison Ave., Rockford, IL 61108 with a luncheon to follow. .
