Dennis Erickson

August 2, 1937 — October 18, 2024

Dennis F. Erickson, 87, of Machesney Park, died October 18, 2024, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born August 2, 1937, in Dale, Minnesota. The son of Fritz and Edna (Palmer) Erickson. Dennis proudly served his country in the US Army. He worked for Heat and Frost Workers local union 19. He was a hard worker and liked by everyone. He enjoyed golf, bowling, and Minnesota sports teams, especially the Vikings. He enjoyed gardening and watching the birds while relaxing outside. Dennis married Linda M. Erickson on July 6, 1970.

Survivors include his sons Dale Erickson of Boone, IA, Bob (Kyoko) Erickson of Bethesda, MD, and Bill (Melissa) Erickson of Rockford, IL; brother Richard (Barb) Erickson of Ulen, MN; sister Sandra McClellan of Sterling, IL; grandchildren Travis, Christopher, Dennis, Lyle, Calvin, and Nicholas. Dennis is predeceased by his parents Fritz and Edna; his wife Linda; brothers Ray and Darrell; and sister Judy.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the amazing staff at Medina Nursing Home in Durand, IL, for the excellent care given to our father in his last days.
