Deena Michelle (Simmons) Christensen, 50, of Belvidere, passed away on December 8, 2023. She was born on March 13, 1973, in Dekalb; the daughter of Jerry and Dilene (Swinson) Simmons. Deena married Patrick Christensen on August 23, 2018. She worked for Chrysler and enjoyed working in her yard. She loved to be around family and friends and travel with her husband and best friend Patrick. Deena enjoyed playing with her fur baby Cooper and listening to Christian music.
She is survived by her husband Patrick, parents Jerry and Dilene Simmons; brother Dewayne “Butch” (Jessica) Simmons; sisters Denise Simmons, Dawn (Dan) Capes, and Doreen (Manuel) Palestina; nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. She is preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents; several aunts and uncles; and brother-in-law.
