Debra J. Lamb, 61, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022. She was born in Rockford to Reva and James. Debra attended Boylan High School. She was a cheerleader in grade school. In her teens she liked horseback riding, trampoline, square dancing, roller skating, and going to the bars to listen to the bands and dancing. Puppet was one of her favorite bands. She was very involved in her children’s activities and loved taking her kids out on Halloween to Trick or Treat. She also liked to spend time at the BMX track. Staying in the Rockford area, she worked as a CNA at places including Paige Park, River Bluff, and Wesley Willows. This came easy to her, as she was a natural caregiver. Her caregiving not only flowed into people, but into animals. She especially loved horses, snow puppies, and dolphins. She loved to play bingo and find a good garage sale. She looked forward to the holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas, as she looked forward to a good meal each year. She is survived by her children, Shannon (John), Amanda, Damian (Misty); grandchildren, Cora, Ethan, Tierra, Kaylynn, Alexander, Jordan, Madison, and Hayden; great-grandchildren, Aspyn, Nova, and Everleigh; sister, Theresa (Troy); brother, Jim (Pat); nieces, Bethany, Christi, Melissa, Melinda, Jackie, and Rebecca. She is also survived by many special people in her life, Sonja, Madison, Lucas, Devin, the Tillson Family, the Mattlock Family, the Greyned Family, Lenora, Rayne, William, Carolyn, Sherry, and Rockie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reva and James; sister, Marilyn. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
