Debbie Downey

Debra “Debi” Sue Downey, 56, of Rockford, passed away on July 4, 2026, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. She was born on May 10, 1970, in Madison, WI, the daughter of Donald and Diana Williams. She graduated from East High School and married Ray A. Downey on June 22, 1991.

Debbie spent most of her life as a homemaker taking care of her family. She loved to go to the park and be outside any chance she could. She enjoyed camping, especially going to Earlville or Sugar River. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandkids and her 2 chihuahuas, Lola and Winnie.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Ray; her sons Bevan and Loren Williams; grandchildren Amelia, Braxton, Oliver, and Draven; sister Denise Laveck; sister-in-law Daphne (William) Downey; nephew Logan Besand; and great-nephew Keanu. She is predeceased by her parents Donald and Diana Williams.
