Dean Edmonds

Dean Edgar Edmonds, 58, of Rockford, passed away in his home on November 24, 2022.  He was born on August 3, 1964; the son of Roger and Shirley (Durham) Edmonds.  Dean graduated from Rockford West High School in 1982.  He worked as a stocker for Logli/Schnucks and as maintenance for Roper-Whitney.  Fishing was his life.  If there was a body of water with fish in it, he wanted to go fishing.  He wanted to make everyone laugh and had a great sense of humor.  Dean had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.  He had a soft spot for animals and loved his dog and furry son Georgie. Dean is survived by his mother Shirley Edmonds, twin brother Gene (Gina) Edmonds, sister Teri (Greg) Heaslip; nieces and nephews Austin, Jonathan, and Joshua Edmonds, Bryan (Wendy) Edmonds, Jenna Reynolds, Kayla Reynolds, and Paige Heaslip; great nieces and nephews Brayden, Jackson, Abigail, Eleanor, and Marlon; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is predeceased by his father Roger, maternal grandparents Eddie and Gladys Durham, and paternal grandparents Alfred and Mary Edmonds. A Celebration of Life will be held 2 to 5 pm, Saturday, December 3, 2022, at the St. Ambrogio Society, 802 Montegue St. Rockford, IL 61102.
