Dawn Marie Leigh, age 54, passed away on January 23, 2026. She was born on February 9, 1971, to Mary C. Orlandi.
Dawn graduated from Jefferson High School in 1991. Over the years, she worked at McDonald’s, Goldie Floberg, and the Barbara Olson Center of Hope, where she dedicated her time and care to others.
She was a faithful member of Riverside Community Church and St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Dawn enjoyed country music and was a loyal fan of the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs. She loved the outdoors and found joy in camping, canoeing, and ziplining. In quieter moments, she enjoyed coloring. Dawn will be remembered for her warm spirit, her love of simple joys, and the memories she shared with those who knew her.
Survivors include her parents Mary (Joe) Orlandi; grandfather, Joe Bove; siblings Tony (Michelle) Orlandi, Marianne (John) Podraza; nieces and nephews, Michael, Isabella, Mathew and Xavier; numerous Aunts, uncles and cousins; and special friends Sara P., Sarah Anderson, Meghan Bolte, and Rob Bolte.
She is predeceased by grandmother Jeanne Hanson-Bove; paternal grandmother Joyce Leigh; great-grandparents, Ollie and Albert Hanson, Anthony and Jenny Bove.
