David Yerk

David Eugene Yerk, 64, of Rockford, died December 5, 2019 in Swedish American Hospital. Born August 13, 1955 in Rockford. David attended Lincoln Middle School and East High School. He owned Yerk Construction doing siding. He was a very hard worker but a simple man. He enjoyed attending concerts and riding his motorcycle. He was a wonderful father and loving Papa to his grandchildren. Survivors include his daughters Maranda J. Yerk, Melinda K. Yerk, and Mariah B. Yerk; grandchildren Natylee, Jaydon, and Savannah Yerk; mother Martha Lucas; siblings Gail Hastings, Sharon Cortinez, Marcia Wierck, Lorrie Hirsch, Russ Yerk, and Randy Yerk; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be 1 pm, Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Firstborn Ministries, 8213 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park with a time of fellowship to follow.
