David Tracy

March 27, 1953 — May 20, 2025

David Richard Tracy, 72, of Byron, passed away on May 20, 2025. He was born on March 27, 1953, the son of Arlis and Ruth (Nelson) Tracy. David graduated from Guilford High School in 1971 and went on to serve in the US Army after graduation. He worked many jobs over the years but truly enjoyed being a photographer. David was an avid reader. He had a broad spectrum of the kinds of books he liked to read, but his favorites were ancient history and archeology. He also enjoyed golfing. Before moving back to the state line area, David lived in Arizona for 15 years.

Survivors include his son Shawn (Erin) Tracy; daughter Megan Tracy; grandchildren Olivia, Reese, Jaron, Nicholas, Mason, and Ariel; sister Cindy Thalman; and the mother of his children Sheila Tracy. He is predeceased by his parents.
