David Thomas Parsley, 72, of Rockford, passed away on December 3, 2025, as OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. He was born on February 6, 1953, in Ukiah, California, the son of James and Doreen (Barney) Parsley, Sr. David graduated from Cloverdale High School in Cloverdale, CA and attended Santa Rosa Community College in Santa Rosa, CA. While living in California, David was part of the pro bowling circuit. He worked in the lumber business, known as "green gold" in California. When David moved to Illinois, he continued to work in lumber at the Stock Lumber Yard in Loves Park. David enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and hung them up on his walls. He enjoyed watching sports on tv, especially the Giants for baseball and the 49ers for football.
David is survived by his 3 chihuahuas, Nola, Oreo, and Petey; his family in Oklahoma, Texas, and California; brother James Parsley Jr.; friends Barry Flannery, William Black, Larry Woods, Melissa Gondolus, Jennifer Rold, Trinity Rold, and Charity Rold. He is predeceased by his parents; twin sister Doreen Adaire Parsley; and friends Rebecca Gunsdus, and Destiny Rold
