David Earl Almond, 63, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away at home on January 27, 2023. David was born to Thomas Almond and Glenna (Sharp) on December 1, 1959, where he was also raised. David was a machinist at Greenlee Textron.
David had an immense love for cars, music, dirt bikes, go-carts, and many other types of vehicles. He not only shared this love by himself but with his “best buddy” his son. David loved to be surrounded by his friends and family no matter the occasion. He especially loved any and every reason to have grill outs for his family and friends to gather. He was a great man who was always the life of the party. His smile, laugh and happy personality was contagious.
He is survived by his son, David Edward (Nicole) Almond, granddaughter’s, Trinity, Kylie and Lilyanna Almond and great-grandchildren, David and Domenica Almond, daughter, Jessica Almond, grandchildren, Kyper, Kaydence, McKenna and McCoy, brothers, Don (Nannette) Almond, Dan (Maya) Almond; Lisa Almond Coey, his Aunt Mary Lindstrand and many nieces and nephews, best friend Jeff Mann and too many other close friends to list. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Glenna, sisters Debbie and Diane. A special thank you to Kim for all the care and support of David.
