Daryl Rorabaugh

Daryl L. Rorabaugh passed away peacefully with his family surrounding him on Thursday January 25, 2024. He was born January 31, 1952, in Enid, Oklahoma. His family moved to Anthony, Kansas in 1958. He was lovingly known in his childhood as “Ahab”. Daryl graduated from Anthony High School in 1970 and then joined the Navy serving in the Submarine service during the Vietnam War Era. He met and married his wife, Mary Recla, in 1977.

Daryl and Mary enjoyed camping and fishing. He loved flying his model airplanes, especially his Corsair. Daryl worked as a machinist for over 30 years. His humor and smile will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

Preceded in death by his mother and father, Elsa (Hill) and Willard Rorabaugh.  His mother-in-law and father-in-law, Betty and Louis Recla, and a nephew, Cody Rorabaugh.

Survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary; his sons Chris (Jill) Recla and Aaron Rorabaugh; grandchildren, Samantha (Joey) Kasper, and Karissa; great grandchild, Aurora Betty Kasper; sister, Sheryl Rorabaugh; brothers, Gene (Sandy), Jeff (Michelle), Gerald (Julie), Chris Rorabaugh.

In lieu of flowers, all donations will be made to USS Illinois Sub Base (USSBI) via Mary Rorabaugh, 6225 Torchlite Tr., Loves Park, Illinois 61111.
