Daniel Wenz

Daniel L. Wenz, Sr., 90, of Rockford, died May 15, 2021 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born April 21, 1931 in Reedsburg, WI, the son of Carl and Susan (Baer) Wenz. Employed as an applications engineer by Barber-Coleman Company for 40 years before retiring. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force for 4 years. Married Bea Sciacca in South Beloit, July 11, 1953. Dan enjoyed working in his vegetable garden, going camping and spending winters in Texas. Survivors include 3 sons, Dan (Jan) Wenz, Jr. of Wesley Chapel, FL, Russell (Pam) Wenz of White House, TN, Ken Wenz of St Petersburg, FL.  A Celebration of Life will be held for Dan on Saturday, June 5 at Dahlquist Park located on the south side of State Street just west of Fairview Blvd. from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM with remembrance story sharing starting at 2 P.M. Finger foods and beverages provided. Stateline Cremations is assisting the family, 712 Windsor Rd., Loves Park.
