Daniel Perkins

Daniel (Dan) Dee Perkins, age 68 of Machesney Park, Illinois, passed away on March 19, 2022, at his home after battling cancer. He was born on August 20, 1953, to Donna (Hayden) and Charles Perkins.  Dan proudly served in the United States Army, stationed in Munich, Germany. Throughout his life, he was a dedicated Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan. He was an avid golfer and bowler. In his 30’s and 40’s he played league bowling on several teams. In his later years, he competed in golf leagues, and during retirement worked part time at Swanhills Golf Club. There was nowhere he’d rather be than on the golf course.  Dan is survived by his dear fiance, Terri DeMarb; his children, Daniel C. Perkins, Deanna (Scott) Claerhout, Dustin Perkins (Bethany Stratton); his three grandchildren, Izaiah Perkins, Nathan Perkins, Julianne Claerhout; his sister, Charlene Perkins; and Terri’s sons, Chad DeMarb (Sarah Diamond) and Nicholas DeMarb (Steven Hudson). He was preceded in death by his parents.  A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
