Dan Redmon, 64, of Roscoe, Illinois, passed away January 28, 2022, at Javon Bea Hospital in Rockford. Dan was born to Lillie Stover and Kelly Redmon on August 15, 1957, in Joliet, Illinois. He attended Tremont High School of Tremont, Illinois. Dan then went on to become a graduate of John Brown University. Dan retired from Caterpillar Inc.
Dan was able to experience many aspects of life in his short time here on Earth. In his younger years, Dan had the opportunity to turn a lifelong passion of music into a career as a Radio Personality/D.J. across a couple of stations in Illinois. His love for music even turned into becoming a part of his church’s choir at Roscoe United Methodist Church for a few years.
More recently, Dan was able to find friends through his love for nature. With his fellow hikers, he took many trips to Starved Rock. Dan enjoyed hiking various trails, as well as camping there. Most importantly, Dan loved capturing the essence of the beautiful nature through his camera lens. He had countless photos of sunsets, landscape and nature as a whole.
Dan was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by his father, Kelly Redmon; sister, Connie (Geoff) Morse; niece, Amanda (Kyle) Mathews; great-niece, Stevie Lane Mathews; countless loving friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillie.
